This Is What I Call 'A Good Morning'

Hi, it be Sunday, which often means M’Lady gets to stay home. As an added bonus, it is sunny and cool enough (due to a northern outflow) to be darn near invigorating. 

So, before breakfast, we all headed into the garden. M’Lady to give our dogs a run and me to feed the fish and geese. She was running and laughing, while I was about to be pleasantly surprised.

After I spread the corn for the geese, I spread a bit of fish food where I knew the baby Box Turtles should be hanging out. Sure enough, it wasn’t long before the first of the babies arrived. Shortly after the hoped for smaller second baby. Then lo’ and behold, a third baby Box Turtle swam over for some fish food.  Amazement and joy! 

Perhaps it goes back to my long ago childhood when I had a small turtle in a plastic indoor window shelf pond for a pet? Whatever the reasons, I surely do enjoy having wild Box Turtles breeding in the garden’s lower pond. 

And that is enough for this little letter.
