It's crucial to continue these conversations and explore different perspectives on our relationship with the Earth. Open dialogue, critical thinking, and a willingness to learn from diverse viewpoints are essential for finding sustainable and just solutions to the environmental challenges we face. I appreciate the opportunity to engage in this thoughtful discussion with you. Thank you." First things first: I need to address the Big Brown Bear in the room. At one time we were all indigenous. Now, at least in my understanding of Indigenous, there are darn few that can lay claim to that title. Blame it on Capitalism, Communism, the colonizers, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, or the moon, but the fact is that most humans nowadays have little to no use for anything they can’t own, sell, eat, or make love to. Here’s a question for the readers of this letter: When was the last time you had a respectful, educational, enlightening conversation with someone who held a different opinion about an important subject ? Dollar bills to pennies, that it has been a long, long time. I remember a time and place where discussion and consensus was the norm. Nowadays, confrontation and in your face attitude has evolved as the norm. Politics is all about breeding fear and then telling the people that only you and your acolytes know the proper way to destroy the fear and return us all to the Golden Age. I mention no names or countries because this movement has become worldwide. Which means that to name names and countries would expand this letter to a very long read. So, here’s my suggestion. (feel free to disagree and write your opinion in the comments section) We need to become not politically correct polite, which is all show and no go. Rather, we need to follow the advice found in Mica: We need to do justice, offer mercy and walk humbly. If we follow the teaching that Micah offers, there is just a chance we can save the world we are now destroying. Your choice! Brian "(Gemini)I agree completely.
