Armour Plated Life Lesson
January 20, 2025
Friends, when the man holds all the cards, play nice!
I heard the siren, saw the flashing light and pulled over. The man gets off his Harley, walks over to me and says’you know why I’m pulling you over’?
I could have gone with attitude. Instead, I pulled out my neatly packaged driver's licence, registration, pink slip and politely handed him the packet. Looking him in the eye with a smile on my face, I responded, ‘Speeding’?
He laughed, looked down at my exhaust pipes and replied in turn, ‘those tin cans won’t do. I heard you three blocks back. Get some baffles.’ And wrote me a ticket.
Time and again, and when you ride a bobber/chopper there will always be a time and again, if I played nice, so did the man.
Armour-plated life lesson: when you’re caught, the punishment is often less painful if you take responsibility with a smile and don’t flash the attitude.
If this life lesson doesn’t make sense… then I wish you well.
